There are many more ecological and social consequences of greenhouse gas emissions. Through capturing sunlight, they induce global warming, and they also lead to respiratory illnesses from air pollution. Nearly any segment of the world economy emits carbon dioxide to the environment, from construction to agriculture to shipping to electricity generation. Therefore, the sectors will have to transition from dependence on fossil fuels if the human race seeks to escape environmental change’s worst consequences.

On the other hand, EVs have ushered a new dawn in the renewable industry. In a society where minimizing greenhouse emissions and waste is an increasing problem for many people, electric vehicles are ever more enticing. Electric vehicles are safer for the climate, according to studies. During their lifespan, they generate fewer gas emissions and pollution contaminants than a gasoline or diesel engine. The move is taken into account well after the automobile’s manufacture and the development of the energy needed to power it. Despite its evident benefits, EVs have had their fair share of critiques from different organizations. Also, different states passed diverse legislations to improve the use and adaptation of EVs in society.

The Trump administration halted California’s progress on legislating its own rules concerning climate charge regarding EVs. However, its previous supporter, General Motors (GM), withdrew its stand with President Trump, stating that the incoming Administration addresses California’s climate change. The GM Chief Executive Mary Barra stated that it is withdrawing its stand among the Trump Administration, California, and NGO’s. The president-elect Joe Biden stated that manufacturing and innovation are the core of his Administration. Conversely, the announcement followed a recent announcement concerning GM increasing its production of EVs.

Additionally, Barra stated that its objectives align with Biden’s manifesto, thus changing the stand. Barra wrote to 11environmental leaders stating the confidence the company puts in Biden’s Administration, the U.S automotive, and California that backs up approximately 10.3 million jobs will eventually innovate different platforms and methods to maximize complete electric usage. Barry concluded, stating that they are instantly pulling back from the litigation. Biden stated that GM’s decision proves the incumbent Administration’s shortsightedness to thwart the current environmental effects of global warming effectively. Joe Biden stated that his Administration aims at innovation and manufacturing, thus promoting more jobs and minimize carbon emission. The new Administration seeks to revolutionize the energy sector by initiating projects that would turn California and the entire state into an all-electric usage state.
